From texting chaos to a self-serve booking portal
The business
Picture a horse boarding and lesson stable with two instructors, thirty boarders, and a lesson program that fills every weekday evening. The owner teaches all day with her phone in her pocket, buzzing.
The problem
Every lesson is booked, moved, and cancelled by text. The owner answers messages between rides, after dark, and at 6 a.m. Double-bookings happen, no-shows don't get charged, and board bills go out late because invoicing night keeps getting pushed.
What gets built
A booking portal for clients
Riders and parents see the real schedule and book their own lessons from their phones — only the slots that actually exist can be booked, so double-booking is impossible.
Payments and board billing
Lessons are paid when booked. Monthly board invoices go out automatically, and the owner can see who's paid without opening a spreadsheet.
Automatic reminders
Every rider gets a reminder the day before their lesson, cutting no-shows. Cancellations inside the cutoff window follow the stable's own policy, applied consistently.
The payoff
The owner's evenings stop being a text-message help desk.
No-shows drop when reminders go out on time, every time.
Board billing happens on the first of the month whether it's a busy week or not.
